Happy Wednesday!

I hope you’re having a great week! Summer is here and vacations are likely in full swing or in the plans for the summer for many. Do you have anything exciting planned?

New week we will be spending some time in the Florida Keys with my parents, brothers, and some friends and I’m looking forward to the time. It’s looking like it might be a tad rainy towards the end of the week, so I’m sure that might bring some fun of exploring some new things we haven’t done before in the area.

One thing I am hoping for is to see a manatee! I LOVE manatee for several reasons, but haven’t seen one in a while. So fingers crossed!

• Costco is testing a “scan-and-go” checkout system similar to Sam’s Club, allowing customers to scan items with their phones, build a digital cart, and pay through an app.
• Nvidia is reportedly on the cusp of launching its first Arm-based APU for laptops, with a release planned in partnership with Dell-owned Alienware towards the end of 2025 or early 2026. An APU (or “accelerated processing unit”) is a central processor with extra features, like an integrated graphics processor. Combining the central processor and the graphics processor in the same circuit increases the transfer speed between them and reduces power consumption.
• PepsiCo is making summer a little more refreshing with the return of one of its most buzzed-about Bubly flavors: Melted Ice Pop Sparkling Water. But unlike the rest of Bubly’s lineup, this fan-favorite won’t be sticking around for long, and it’s only available at one retailer.
• After nearly a decade, McDonald’s is bringing back its beloved Snack Wrap nationwide on July 10, 2025. Fans have long awaited the return of this handheld favorite, which features crispy chicken, cheese, lettuce, and sauce wrapped in a soft tortilla. The popular item was removed from the menu back in 2016.

The CK Daily – Sweet Treats & Auntie Feats

Good morning & Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone is having a great start to the week!

I had a wonderful (and very full!) weekend. On Saturday, the man I’m dating took me to a charming local spot called Le Gabrielle, which specializes in crepes. Since I have Celiac disease and eat gluten-free, I’m usually out of luck when it comes to treats like that—but they actually offer gluten-free crepes! We split a strawberry shortcake crepe, and it was absolutely delicious. Afterward, we strolled around town, popped into a few local shops, and soaked in the slower pace of the morning. We even stopped by the farmers market, which was so much fun!

That evening, I headed into Atlanta to celebrate my nephew Timothy’s 11th birthday. I can hardly believe he’s already 11—he’s the one who made me an aunt, and time just seems to fly!

After the party, my nieces came back with me for a sleepover. It was late by the time we got home, so we all went straight to bed, but on Sunday, everyone was full of energy! We went out for breakfast, picked up new swimsuits during a quick shopping trip, and spent the afternoon at the pool. The girls kept saying how much they love summer—and I have to say, I couldn’t agree more!

The CK Daily – Rolling into June

Happy Monday!

And Happy June! It’s the official start of hurricane season and the unofficial start of Summer (the official start is June 20th)! On Friday we kicked the summer off playing a few board games and card games with family and enjoyed the wonderful weather. It was a nice cool and not rainy weekend! I also took my wife out for date night at a revolving Sushi restaurant on Saturday, and it was an amazing experience. You get the variety of a buffet and the best part is you never have to leave your seat! We also had the option to order food from a touchscreen menu, and a few minutes later a monorail like tray would trolley along and bring what we ordered. I think all buffets should be revolving! What an amazing concept that the Japanese seem to have perfected!

A quick update on Odyssey of the Mind world finals – the kids did awesome and placed 13th out of 51 teams. They made a few mistakes on their run, but overall, they learned from the experience and had a great time. I was able to watch the live stream with my daughter and parents of the closing ceremonies. Apparently, Odyssey is huge in Poland and China! My daughter looks forward to competing again next year with more experience and enthusiasm!

I’m looking forward to some summer adventures and warm (hopefully not scorching) weather. Do you have any plans for the summer?
