  • Call 2023 an explosive comeback at the box office. There were blonde bombshells in “Barbie,” actual bombs in “Oppenheimer” and small-budget blockbusters — each of them aiding the theatrical industry in bolstering ticket sales and drawing relapsed customers back to the big screen. Read more here.
  • Sales of new vehicles in the U.S. are expected to increase slightly next year, as the industry normalizes from the coronavirus pandemic and other supply chain problems since 2020. Forecasters expect auto sales next year to increase by between 1% and 4% to roughly 15.6 million to 16.1 million vehicles sold.
  • Apple will be able to sell the latest Apple Watches after an import ban was temporarily paused by an appeals court on Wednesday, in a major victory for the iPhone maker.
  • When January hits, Starbucks will be introducing eight new additions to its menu, as well as two returning favorites. The coffee chain giant is set to treat our taste buds to three new hot drinks and five light bites from January 4.

  • With $18.15 million in box office receipts, Warner Bros. Discovery’s “The Color Purple” had the highest Christmas Day opening since 2009. It is also the second-largest Christmas Day opening of all time.
  • “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” collected an estimated $28.1 million during its domestic opening, the fourth-lowest debut for a DC Extended Universe film.
  • The New York Times on Wednesday filed a lawsuit against Microsoft and OpenAI, the company behind popular AI chatbot ChatGPT, accusing them of infringing copyright and abusing the newspaper’s intellectual property.
  • Microsoft has big plans for generative AI in gaming, and its recent Xbox partnership with Inworld AI is a key example. Inworld focuses on NPCs — non-playable characters — in video games, figures who populate generated worlds but have to date largely run on limited scripts

  • Ukraine struck a large Russian landing warship in Crimea with cruise missiles in an overnight attack that killed at least one person and could hinder any Russian attempt to seize more Ukrainian territory along the Black Sea coast.

  • The new year is already looking sweet. Oreo has announced that it will be introducing three new cookie varieties to its cookie lineup.
  • Dunkin’ Donuts has shortened its list of plant-based milk options. Customers will no longer be able to have their drinks made with coconut milk and will only have the option to use either almond milk or oat milk as alternatives.
  • The FTC proposed to ban Rite Aid from using facial recognition technology in its stores for five years.

  • Warner Bros. Discovery held early talks with Paramount Global this week to discuss a potential merger. The discussions should be seen as a kickoff to the next chapters for Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount Global.
  • Sales of new vehicles in the U.S. are expected to increase slightly next year, as the industry normalizes from the coronavirus pandemic and other supply chain problems since 2020.
  • Bird filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Florida federal court. Bird said it will use the bankruptcy proceeding to facilitate a sale of its assets, which it expects to complete within the next 90 to 120 days.

Learning Center Article – What is the difference between Cat6 and Cat6A?

When it comes to choosing the right cable, research is the only way to succeed. In the modern age, most networks still run primarily on Ethernet. Even the most advanced networks in the world still utilize devices that need that Ethernet connection. There’s no getting around it. You need to choose which Ethernet cables will go in your network, and that is best done by comparing the two most common cable types in all applications: Cat6 and Cat6A.
