The CK Daily – Weather or Not, It Was Worth It

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone’s having a great week so far!

I headed down to Florida on Friday evening to visit one of my best friends who recently relocated here. She’s lived in Georgia her whole life, but her husband was offered an amazing job opportunity that made the move a no-brainer. They’re building a home in the Watercolor area near 30A—such a stunning spot!

Unfortunately, the weather didn’t quite cooperate at first. It started raining Friday evening and continued through most of the weekend, so we weren’t able to enjoy the outdoors as much as I’d hoped. But the sun came back out yesterday, and today’s shaping up to be beautiful—I’m crossing my fingers for a little beach time before I head home!

Even with the rain, it’s been a fantastic trip filled with great food and lots of catching up. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Learning Center Article – What is the difference between C13 and C19 power cords?

C13 and C19 power cords are both commonly used in various electronic devices, but they have a few key differences. The main distinction between the two lies in their capacity and compatibility. C13 power cords are designed to handle a maximum current of 10 amps, making them suitable for most desktop computers, monitors, printers, and other consumer electronics. On the other hand, C19 power cords can handle a higher current, up to 15 amps, which makes them ideal for power-hungry devices such as servers, data centers, and large appliances.

Happy Monday! A new week means new chances—let’s take it one step at a time and make it count. What’s on your to-do list today?

The CK Daily – Stormy Skies & Sweet Celebrations

Happy Monday!

Sometimes plans fall through and that’s ok. The rainy weekend put a little bit of a dent in Mother’s Day weekend celebrations, but we still had a great time celebrating all the moms in our lives. Our plans to go to an outdoor Asian festival on Saturday were scrapped as they cancelled the event and rescheduled it to a weekend in June due to the heavy rain. We still had a great time visiting my parents and enjoying some great pizza and delicious cake (Costco Tuxedo Cake of course!)! On Sunday I grilled some steaks and veggies for my wife, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law, as we celebrated Mother’s Day on that side of the family. We also watched the sequel to Beetlejuice, not as iconic or as great as the original, but it was entertaining.

Only a few more weeks until the end of the school year! We can definitely tell the kids are ready for a break! We aren’t planning a whole bunch of things this Summer, but the plan is to spend more time outdoors and to explore the areas of the North Georgia mountains. I like that idea, because the mountainous areas maintain a cooler temperature.

I hope you have a great day and a wonderful week!

Cris

The CK Daily – This One’s for You, Mom!

Hello everyone! It’s Friday again!

We’re heading into the weekend—and not just any weekend—it’s Mother’s Day this Sunday!

I’m extra excited because aside from celebrating my mom, we just got some good news: our fencing permit was finally approved! After months of waiting and saving up, we can now start building a permanent fence for our home. It’s one of the gifts I’ve been hoping to give her, and I’m so grateful it’s finally happening.

Seeing my mom happy is one of the most fulfilling feelings ever. She’s not perfect, but she’s everything to us. Her strength, love, and sacrifices never go unnoticed. I hope that when it’s my turn to become a mom, I can be even half as amazing as she is.

To all the wonderful moms out there—Happy Mother’s Day in advance! You are appreciated more than words can say. 💐

How are you celebrating this weekend? Any special plans for the moms in your life?

Kat

The CK Daily – Old hobbies and New Routines!

Hi everyone!

It’s officially my first week off from college for the summer, and I’ve been slowly adjusting to a new routine. I appreciate the opportunity to trade in deadlines for some much-needed breathing room. Although it’s always a weird adjustment, it’s a welcome one.

I’ve been trying to get back into some hobbies I missed during the busy semester, like crocheting. It’s so nice to pick it back up, even though I’m pretty rusty. I’m hoping to make some good progress on a project before the month ends! On top of that, my boyfriend and his little brother have a family gathering this weekend for a combined birthday party, so I have a lot to look forward to!

I’m hoping for warmer weather and enjoying every second that I can! I wish you all a great rest of your week and a Happy Mother’s Day weekend!

The CK Daily – Free Fun & Family Time

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you’re having a great week. This weekend was a good one and also busy! As I shared last week, we had a few birthday celebrations take place last week and this weekend so we planned a fun day in Athens to celebrate! I’m not sure I realized how much there is to do there that is free. We started at a place called The Farm Cart and it was delish! They have wonderful biscuits and homemade jams. After that stopped at Bear Hollow, then headed to the Botanical Gardens and last minute ended up at the Art Museum!

It was a fun filled day just spending time with family, kid-free (which is a rarity)!

Do you have places you enjoy visiting that have lots of things to do? Would love to know about them!

When it comes to establishing a high-performance, low-latency network, selecting between fiber optic cabling and twisted pair Ethernet cabling can significantly impact overall system efficiency. Both cable types offer distinct advantages, but their strengths serve different priorities. Fiber optics bring unbeatable speed and long-distance reliability. Ethernet cable, by contrast, is cost-effective and better suited for short-range, plug-and-play deployments where simplicity matters.

Then on Friday, I’m heading down to Florida to visit one of my best friends who moved there back in December. She lives near the scenic 30A area, which is absolutely beautiful. Fingers crossed for great weather and a wonderful weekend of catching up with her and her family!
