The CK Daily – Football Season, Best Season

Happy Thursday!

I hope everyone had an amazing Labor Day weekend! Mine was full and very refreshing, exactly what I needed. Friday night kicked off as a classic game night with friends. I didn’t win any of the games we played but I had fun trying and learning strategies for next time.

As expected, Saturday was my favorite day by far. The weather was beautiful, and I got to cozy up, study, and watch football all day. It was also a baking day, since I had to prepare for my sister’s birthday on Sunday. I’m the designated baker in my family, so it came as no surprise that she wanted me to make her birthday dessert. I made some banana bread just for my boyfriend and I, and dark chocolate brownies for my sister, her favorite! It smelled amazing in the apartment, football was on, and the weather was amazing, I couldn’t ask for anything better!

On Sunday, we headed over to my sisters to celebrate with the brownies in tow. We couldn’t stay long, but I’m so glad we got to celebrate with her. Then on Monday, my boyfriend and I explored a nearby trail for a run. I honestly can’t believe I have never tried it before, it was such a beautiful route, and I already know I’ll be back. Even better, there’s a coffee shop about to open right next to the trail, so I’m excited to pair a run with a coffee stop one day!

I hope you all had an amazing Labor Day weekend and an exciting weekend coming up as well!

Rachel

The CK Daily – Labor Day Adventures

Happy Wednesday!

We had a pretty busy Labor Day weekend. On Saturday my wife had her very first Odyssey of the Mind team meeting. She decided to coach this year after having such a good experience with our daughter’s team last season. The kids had a blast solving problems and getting to know each other. Right after that my daughter invited a few of her closest friends over for a birthday get together. It wasn’t really a big party, just a fun afternoon of Roblox, snacks, and kids running around the house.

Sunday gave us a little chance to catch our breath. We went to church and had some time to rest before Monday rolled around. For Labor Day we headed up to the mountains near Helen, GA and took a short hike to a waterfall. The kids loved being outside and playing in the water. It was a nice break from their tablets and screens and reminded us how good it feels to spend a day in nature.

I hope you have a great day and a wonderful week!

Cris

Learning Center Article – Stop Network Bottlenecks with the Best Ethernet Cables for Large Offices

In large offices, cabling is the silent backbone that decides whether VoIP phones stay clear, surveillance feeds stay smooth, and remote desktops stay connected. Bigger floors mean longer cable runs, more endpoints, and heavier power demands. Modern offices run far more than browsers. They handle always-on VoIP, PoE security systems, multiple wireless access points, and constant cloud syncing, all riding on the same network backbone. Every device adds more electrical load and thermal stress to the cabling infrastructure.

Happy Tuesday! After a long weekend, it’s National Another Look Unlimited Day—a reminder to give your space a mini refresh. Got clutter from spring still hanging around? Maybe it’s time to donate, repurpose, or finally let go. What’s one thing you’ve been meaning to clear out?

The CK Daily – Hello, ’Ber Months!

Good morning & Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! I saw a social media post yesterday that called out the fact that we have finally made it to the “ber” months… September, October, November, December. I had never thought about the fact the last 4 months of the year end in ‘ber, but now I’ll never NOT notice it! Haha

I had a great time over the long weekend. I got to spend the entire weekend with my nieces which was such a blessing and we tried to make the most of every moment! Our weekend included lots of Starbucks cake pops, pizza, dance parties, park visits, meals out with family, and even a trip to the movie theater to watch Freakier Friday! We packed a lot in and had the absolute best time! I’m already missing them!

Now that the fun weekend is behind us, I’m definitely feeling the shift into the (unofficial) start of Fall. We’ve enjoyed some breaks in the heat with cooler weather, the days are getting significantly shorter, college football has started back, and I have a feeling we are about to blink and find that we’ve already made it to the holidays! It seems like this time of year can move at warp speeds, so I’m hoping to be intentional about slowing down and savoring the moments!

The CK Daily – Core Values That Carry Us Forward

Friday’s here, cheers to making it through the week! 🎉 Before we head into the long weekend, I just want to share a quick thought on what makes CK such a special place to work.

The core values highlighted in our CEO’s update last Friday are still very much alive and thriving at CK today. Craig and Christin set the tone early on, and those values continue to ripple through the company in how we work and how we treat people.

What really stands out is that everyone here doesn’t just work hard or push themselves to grow each day. They also genuinely care about others, both inside and outside the office. That mix of excellence and compassion is what makes the CK culture so unique, and why our values are more than just words on a page.

Here’s to carrying that spirit into the long weekend! ✨

The CK Daily – The Strength of Integrity, Service & Excellence

Happy Thursday, everyone!

I’ve been reflecting on how our core values really influence the way we work together. When we focus on integrity, service, and excellence, they help us stay centered and clear about what matters most.

It’s not just about checking things off a list. It’s about how we approach the work. We support one another, think carefully about our choices, and bring intention to everything we do.

Our values remind us that progress isn’t just about speed. It’s about moving forward with purpose. When we build on trust, humility, and care, we’re creating something meaningful together.

Learning Center Article – How to Calculate PoE Budgets

PoE is one of the greatest things in networking. It allows you to power a device with an Ethernet cable. This cuts on infrastructure costs and gives you a ton more flexibility in how you design a network. But, PoE does have limitations. You can only draw so much power from a single switch and figuring that out is essential for network design. To help you with that, you can calculate your PoE budget, and that’s what this tutorial is all about.

The CK Daily – Making Work Enjoyable, Together

Happy Wednesday! We’re halfway through the week, and I just want to share a little reminder of what makes work feel less like work and more like fun.

I love working at CK because it’s not just about the job, it’s about the experience. What I enjoy most is the culture. It keeps things light with laughs, teamwork, and small moments that make the day more enjoyable. We celebrate wins together, support each other through challenges, and even on the busiest days, we find ways to make work genuinely enjoyable.

It’s rare to be part of a place where teamwork feels like spending time with friends while still achieving big goals. That’s exactly what makes it so special. That’s the CK Way!
