CK Daily – 05.29.2026

May 29, 2026 by CablesAndKits

Wrapping up the week by celebrating a small but mighty invention. National Paperclip Day honors the simple tool that keeps papers organized and desks a little less chaotic. It may be small, but it has definitely earned its place in everyday life. What is one office item you could not work without?

The CK Daily – The Little Things Matter Most

Another week in the books, and I’ve found myself reflecting on the little things a lot lately.

I’ve been trying to slow down enough to notice the silver linings hidden in the middle of everyday life. The little moments seem to matter more and more, laughing until we can’t breathe while jamming out to Michael Jackson with my boys, watching their moonwalks somehow get better every single time, and realizing these are the memories that will stick forever.

I’m finding strength in the love of my family and in the chaos that comes with raising growing kids. Even braving the roads while teaching my oldest daughter how to drive has become one of those moments I know I’ll look back on someday with a smile (and maybe a little relief). Watching her gain confidence reminds me how fast time moves and how proud I am of the person she’s becoming.

I’m especially grateful for the quiet moments spent with the love of my life, the simple conversations, shared laughs, and the comfort of just doing life together. Those moments keep me grounded through everything else.

Now we’re heading into another weekend packed with double softball tournaments for the girls, and I honestly wouldn’t trade it for anything. Watching them grow every time they step onto the field, gaining confidence, making great plays, and pushing themselves harder with each game is something special to witness. They’re learning resilience, teamwork, and heart right in front of us.

More than anything, I’m thankful for what I have right now, the people beside me, the memories we’re building, and the lessons we continue to learn together. Life moves fast, but I’m learning to appreciate every little piece of it while looking forward to whatever comes next for our family.

Matthew

The CK Daily – In Good Company

Happy Thursday, everyone!

Memorial Day weekend ended up being a really relaxing one for me. I got the chance to go back and work at the wedding venue where I worked throughout high school, and it was so fun getting to see everyone again and catch up on life. It made for a late night, but it was definitely worth it.

Sunday was a little more special because Alex’s family and I went to The Melting Pot for dinner before their location closes at the end of the month. It used to be his parents’ date night spot and even where they got engaged, so it was really sweet getting to experience it together and hear all the memories tied to it.

On Monday, we went to an early screening of “Pressure,” a movie about the 72 hours before D Day. I honestly enjoyed it way more than I expected to! We wrapped up the holiday with grilling hot dogs which was the perfect Memorial Day ending, even with the crazy rain.

Now that the long weekend is over, I’m still completely thrown off on what day it is. Part of me is still convinced it’s Wednesday haha. Hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend too!

Learning Center Article – Difference Between UTP, STP, FTP & S/FTP

When comparing UTP vs STP vs FTP vs S/FTP, the key difference is that FTP cables have an additional foil shield, making them better suited for environments with high interference. The type of shielding on a copper cable impacts its stability, performance, speed, the longevity of the cable and that of your network.

Learning Center Article – What is CAT6A and How Is It Being Used Today?

Ethernet tends to be the more affordable, reliable way to keep devices in communication and fulfill a network’s needs. One of the reasons Ethernet is still able to fill these roles with modern data demands is because newer, more powerful cables are available. While Cat6A is neither the newest nor most advanced Ethernet on the market today, it is a staple in the industry and services a wide range of networks.

The CK Daily – Powered by Adrenaline and Deadlines

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you enjoyed the long weekend.

My weekend was fully packed. While working on my bulk order of stickers and button pins, I suddenly received a rush order for wedding souvenirs from my cousin. Everything from invitations to souvenirs was entrusted to me. It was my first time creating those kinds of items, especially for selling, so I was really hesitant to accept at first. But then I thought it would be a great experience, so I accepted the project even if it was rush because they needed the invitations the very next day.

On Saturday, they came over to our house so we could discuss everything, and by Sunday, they were already giving out the invitations to their guests. I’m honestly just thankful for the adrenaline because I managed to finish them overnight. After resting for a few hours, I immediately started working on their souvenirs.

Super busy, but definitely worth experiencing.

How about you? How was your long weekend break?

Kat

The CK Daily – One Very Busy Saturday

Wow, what a busy weekend it was!

Saturday felt like one long road trip mixed with lots of celebrating. My day started bright and early with a drive down to Ponce City Market in Atlanta for a quick girl’s brunch with my aunts and cousins. After that, it was straight into another hour and a half drive up to the mountains for my cousin’s bridal shower, followed by the drive all the way back home again.

The traveling still wasn’t over though. Once I got back, I headed to one graduation party and then drove another 30 minutes for a second one before finally heading home for the night. I spent so much time in the car that day, but honestly, it was nice getting to celebrate so many people all at once.

The celebrations kept going all week long too. I had another grad party on Sunday and one more yesterday, all while also celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday and his little brother’s honors night. It has definitely been one of the busiest social weeks I’ve had in a while, but I’m grateful for all the people I got to see again! That being said… I can’t lie, I’m also very thankful that next week looks a little less packed socially.
