The CK Daily – Flashback Friday!
Happy Flashback Friday, everyone! Let’s take a little trip down memory lane to the days when connecting to the internet meant tying up the phone line and hearing that unforgettable dial-up tone. Yep, we’re talking about those 56K modems that were once the peak of technology. Waiting for your AOL homepage to load felt like an eternity, but hey, at least we had plenty of time to grab a snack!
Remember the patience it took to download a single song, or how you had to strategically time your online gaming sessions to avoid the dreaded phone call disconnect? And who could forget the excitement of finally getting online, only to immediately get kicked off because someone in the house needed to use the phone?
It’s wild to think about how far we’ve come—from those snail-paced connections to the lightning-fast fiber optics we rely on today. It’s easy to take for granted how we can now stream HD videos, run businesses, and connect with people around the globe in a flash. But once in a while, it’s fun to look back and appreciate the journey.
So, here’s to the dial-up days—where patience was a virtue and every connection felt like a small victory.

Learning Center Article – 4K vs 8K HDMI Cables: A Quick Guide
Both types of cables are HDMI, and they are used for ultra-high-definition video. 4K is known as HDMI 2.0, and the cables support video at resolutions up to 2150p (3840 X 2160), which comes out to roughly 8 million pixels in an image.
8K is known as HDMI 2.1, and the cables double those numbers to provide 4320p (7680 X 2160) which gets the pixel count all the way up to 33 million.
