CEO Daily Update – 6.17.2020

MILLION DOLLAR SALE – 6000+ Items SELLING TO ZERO! | COVID-19 Updates

Happy Wednesday!

I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already. Mon and Tue are big meeting days for me and they flew by. I did go to the office both days in the evening to help out in shipping, check on samples that came in, and test a new COVID-19 solution out! More on that soon.

Mid-year BLOW OUT sale. MILLION Dollar Sale!
We are about to do something we have never done before. Listen up! Starting next Monday we are putting about six THOUSAND items (over $1 Million worth of items) on sale in a way like you have NEVER SEEN before. I am going to tell you now what to expect and I think it might just blow your mind! We have many items (over half our catalog) that have gotten stale. It is time to get these bad boys moving – either out the door or in the DUMPSTER. Here is what we are going to do (I can’t believe we are going to do this) ….

We are going to take the current prices and divide them my 10.
Then, EACH DAY we will reduce the price by 1/10th.
So day one all the items will be 10% off.
Day two 20% off.
Day three 30% off …
all the way to day 10 where whatever is left will be 1 penny.
Whatever doesn’t sell will get recycled!!

We are clearing the shelves to make room for new items!

Here is my advice to you – look through the Deals section of the site, which is where the sale items will be. If you see something you want, you better grab it because if not someone else may. Check each day for what remains. You never know what you may find!

I ask/recommend that you forward this to friends/co-workers and I recommend they join this email list. I will be pointing out some of the deals daily, and I may even do something special for email subscribers (no promises but anything is possible). Friends and Co-workers can either create an account to BE READY, or can sign up for this email HERE (scroll to the bottom of the page).

This should be interesting!

On this day in 1885, Gallon Pumps Back in Stock, Elusive Advertising

Happy Tuesday!

Did you know that on this day in 1885, the dismantled Statue of Liberty, a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of America, arrives in New York Harbor after being shipped across the Atlantic Ocean in 350 individual pieces packed in more than 200 cases. The copper and iron statue, which was reassembled and dedicated the following year in a ceremony presided over by U.S. President Grover Cleveland, became known around the world as an enduring symbol of freedom and democracy. Read more here on History.com

Advertising is a funny thing. As I have mentioned before, we have realized through this PPE / Safety Supplies journey just how little we really “advertised” for our core business of networking products. As the safety supplies demand heated up we could advertise anywhere and it worked. Radio, buying into email lists of other companies, and of course leveraging our own email lists. And then all of a sudden much of it stopped working as quickly as it started. And with advertising no one tells you why it stops working. You have to try to figure it out. Is it pricing, stock levels, or what? It makes me realize that marketing is a whole new skill that can be very powerful but can also be very frustrating. There are no magic/silver bullets.

Starting this week we are trying telemarketing. I hope people receive our calls well! I hate getting sales calls, but every once in a while they have something I actually want and need and I hope that is the case with the calls we make. We can’t just sit around and hope people find us.

Bottle Dispenser Pumps for Gallon, Half Gallon, and 1 Liter Hand Sanitizer back in stock!

I will have some other product announcements soon. We nearly have our floor hand sanitizer dispensers in stock which is exciting. They are in huge demand right now!

Please let me know how I can be of service to you. If you need assistance with something, advice, or even if you just need someone to pray for you, I am here and listening.

Blessings,
Craig – CEO

Commissioner Rob Manfred told ESPN “I’m not confident” there would be a 2020 season on Monday.

CEO Daily Update – 6.15.2020

Restful Weekend, Ministry of Business, New lower pricing

Happy Monday!

Wheew! I feel better! When I hit send on my email Thursday night (to be sent Friday morning) I shut the laptop and didn’t open it until just now (it’s Sunday night about 11pm). It was my oldest daughter Caroline’s 7th birthday today (Sunday) and we made a long weekend out of it. We had my wife’s parents in town, as well as some good friends. We spent the weekend by the pool, grilling out, eating at Caroline’s favorite restaurant, and going for putt putt. It was strange to not work at all but was very much needed. After the friends left it occurred to me that we barely “talked shop”, which is unusual. I think I was in overload shutdown mode haha.

I just caught up on emails and was so blessed by the ones I received. I asked last week for your experiences with returning to normal, and the replies were varied and great to hear. I loved how one person pointed out that the return of big yellow school buses on the road is a signal to the public that “things are ok”, and the importance of them doing their part to make that happen. Wow, how cool. I said that I agreed it was partly the buses being on the road, and partly Waffle House being open haha. Someone else pointed out that he is near retirement and is considering taking the coronavirus changes as a push to buy an RV, hit the road, and see some sites!

I have also had people that have told me that my emails have, in some way, impacted their walk with the Lord, encouraged them to spend time reading the Lord’s word, praying, growing, and being more bold in their faith. Here is what I most recently replied with ….

It has taken a number of years to get to the point where I could email out like I do openly about faith. The journey began in 2010 with another business guy taking an interest in me, sharing his journey, and inviting me and my wife to a ministry through business conference. SURRENDER was a huge part of it which happened just a few months prior. From there it has been a matter of walking in the light that I have, staying in the Word (which isn’t always consistent!), and being obedient to what the Lord puts in front of me. With the emails I am sending out, an opportunity to send them appeared and I took it. Then the Lord opened the door one day for me to start saying some things, and it’s gone from there. I never do more than I feel I am supposed to, and I attempt to never do less – which is the obedience part.

Jojo Update. Clorox Wipes In Stock. Great Deal on 8oz Gel Sanitizer

Thank the Good Lord it’s Friday

Father, thank you for this this week, and thank you for the weekend that is upon us. Thank you for the many blessings of this week, including the small things we take for granted like the air we breathe, and our pumping heart! There are so many complexities to the bodies that we live in that we take for granted – but you know the count of every hair on our heads, and care about each of us deeply – whether we know or believe it or not! Thank you for your provision. Thank you for our customers, and for our staff, and for the joy of the work of our hands.

Thank you for the challenges of the week – those that either caused us to learn and grow, or caused us to realize our dependence on you for your provision, protection, correction, or guidance.

Father I continue to lift little Jojo up to you. Thank you for your grace and mercy in her healing and progress so far! Please continue to heal and to bring rest to the parents and family.

Guide our minds, indwell our hearts, teach us your ways, and through us may you bless others.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Jojo Update: (From the great aunt)

My nephew Blake sent me the following update today:

His wife Chelsea should be discharged next week.
Josephine is no longer the sickest baby but will be in the NICU for a few months.
She has a chest tube drain to remove excess air from her chest cavity.
She has the loop drain for her bowels and getting IV Supplements with the hope the perforation will repair itself.
She is on a ventilator as expected and went from 100% down to 41%.
She opened one eye a hair he said. She went from 10 IVs drugs down to 3.
She is progressing slowly. She weighed 1 lb 12.6oz at birth and is 1 lb 7.8oz today. The weight loss is expected and she is in line with her birth size and gestation.

Blake said: “We appreciate all the prayers everyone is providing, there’s no possible way to express our true thanks to those willing to lift their names up in prayer.”

He also said I could share a picture. We think it would help with the prayer connections.

Please continue to keep Jojo and family in your prayers!!

Clorox Wipes arrived today! Order here

8oz Gel Sanitizer arrived today. GREAT PRICE!! (24 per case if you want to order that way FYI. We will have the case listed separately soon). Order here!

Business News for Today:

  • Over 3,855,000 people worldwide have recovered and over 817,000 people in the US have recovered!
  • The United States has surpassed 2 million confirmed cases of the coronavirus, according to data tracked by The Washington Post, by far the highest reported total in the world, less than five months after the first reports that the virus had reached American soil. More than 7.4 million cases and 416,000 deaths have been reported worldwide, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
  • SeaWorld has reopened to the public, the latest Orlando theme park to welcome customers even as the number of new cases of covid-19 are rising in Florida and other states in the South.
  • The federal response to the coronavirus outbreak is pushing the U.S. government’s budget deficit to unprecedented levels. On Wednesday, the Treasury Department said the gap between what the U.S. government spends and what it collects in taxes widened to $1.88 trillion for the first eight months of this fiscal year — an all-time high. The federal deficit for all of 2019 was $984 billion, which was already considered unusually large.
  • Another 1.5 million people applied for unemployment insurance for the first time last week, adding to the tens of millions of people who have applied for the benefits since the pandemic began and continuing a months-long drop in the number of initial claims.
  • A shortage of brewer’s yeast amid the coronavirus pandemic has forced Marmite manufacturers to halt production of large jars of the famous sticky spread. Known for its unique taste and “love it or hate it” slogan, the brown food product, which is often spread on toast, is made from concentrated yeast extract — a byproduct of brewing beer.
  • NASA awarded Pittsburgh-based space robotics startup Astrobotic with nearly $200 million on Thursday for a key lunar mission, which will hunt for deposits of frozen water the moon. Astrobotic will be responsible for launching the rover, called VIPER, and landing it near the moon’s south pole in late 2023.
  • The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said on Thursday that it ordered Amazon.com Inc and eBay Inc to stop selling a wide range of pesticide products on their platforms, including those that are falsely marketed as being effective against the novel coronavirus. The EPA said the products on its list are unregistered, misbranded, or restricted-use pesticides, and pesticide devices that pose a significant health risk to consumers, children, pets and others exposed to them.

Rest, Star Trek, Webcam and N95 price drops

Top of the Thursday to ya!

You have come to expect random from me by now. There was an episode of Seinfeld about muffin tops. In the episode there was a muffin top store called “Top of the muffin to ya”. That’s what ran through my mind as I was thinking about today’s greeting. Haha. At least I can laugh at myself.

I was sitting here staring at the screen trying to think of what I wanted to write about tonight (you’ll get this tomorrow morning) and was drawing an absolute blank, which caused me to think … I have been realizing over the past couple days that I am slowing down. I have been going 1000 miles an hour for many weeks and can FEEL that I need a break. I don’t want to take a break, but I’ll be better if I take one. This weekend is my daughter’s 7th birthday and we have family and friends coming to town. As a starting place, I will attempt to disconnect for the weekend, starting Friday. We will see what that does to me.

After watching Star Trek The Next Generation growing up, and recently watching Picard and Discovery, I decided to watch the Original Star Trek Series. I am watching tonight as I write this email (I am toward the end of season 2) and I think it is so funny how pronounced William Shatner’s speech pattern is. I googled it just now and found this short video where he briefly talked about it, which is pretty funny.

Here are a few product announcements for today.

Price reduction on our Webcam – I am working on other models/options as well. Stay tuned

Price drop on 3M N95 Masks
https://www.cablesandkits.com/mc/face-mask/n95/fam-274/fp-18865/

We have all sorts of new things in the works and will continue to announce them here!

TONS of Updates – Happy Hump Day, Lysol Spray, 3M N95 In Stock, Cases of Hand Sanitizer, Nitrile Gloves

Happy Wednesday! HUMP DAAAAAAYYYY (never gets old)

This is the first thing that came to mind when I started this email for some reason (my brain is random):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrHxhQPOO2c

What’s your outlook? Is it going to be a bright sunshiny day? 90% is up to you ….

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company…a church….a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past…we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude…I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you…we are in charge of our attitudes.”
― Charles Swindoll

TOP NEWS – A MUST READ.

Muhahahah – Explained

Lot’s of good product updates today!

First of all, PLEASE keep in mind that on some of these items we have no control over our cost. If someone offers us something, and we don’t have a cheaper source, we buy it. We add a small markup that is less than our average markup on other items, and offer it to you. If you think the price is too high that’s ok! Simply don’t buy it. We are trying to do our customers a service by finding and offering these items. Please do not email me accusing me of price gouging – it hurts my little feelings (not really).
