The CK Daily – Fall Festivities & Birthday Celebrations

Happy Monday!

This past weekend was filled with celebration and fun for my family! We started off at a corn maze for my daughter’s friend’s birthday party, and let me tell you—it was packed! The weather was perfect too, not too hot and not too cold. My two girls had an absolute blast and my youngest was completely captivated by the pony ride, while my oldest couldn’t get enough of jumping on a giant inflated pillow (it was kind of like a trampoline). We all took a hay ride together, which was a nice way to wind down after navigating the maze with the crowd.

Later, I headed to a 40th birthday party for one of my good friends. It was great catching up with everyone, reminiscing and making new memories. After a busy day of corn mazes, pony rides, and birthday celebrations, I’m exhausted, but ready to take on the week!

I hope you have a great day and a wonderful week!

Happy Monday! We hope you had a wonderful weekend and were able to rest and relax as you gear up for another great week ahead. How can we be praying for you this week?

The CK Daily – Counting Our Blessings & Gearing Up for Fun!

Happy Monday!

We were very fortunate enough to have very minimal impact from Hurricane Helene. It seemed like at the last minute it veered off its predicted path and we were spared the brunt of the storms. We definitely counted our blessings and are praying for those impacted by the hurricane.

On Saturday we attended an Odyssey of the Mind team meeting, and it looks like it’s going to be quite the commitment with practices on Thursdays and Saturdays. The coach is a seasoned veteran who’s made it to the World’s competition multiple times (and last year her team placed 5th out of hundreds at World’s), and I’m glad she’s taking the competition seriously. My daughter is very excited for the competitions and we’re definitely proud of her for making the team.

October’s just around the corner, I’m looking forward to the cooler weather, fall treats (although I might be getting tired of pumpkin spice), and scary movies! What are you looking forward to this October?
