The CK Daily – A Little North Georgia Magic

Good morning & happy Tuesday! Hope everyone is having a great start to the week!

I enjoyed a little day trip into the North Georgia mountains over the weekend, which was really nice! Josh and I decided to head north on Saturday morning with no solid plan. We knew we wanted to hike and go tubing, but didn’t know exactly where. I have a book that lists hundreds of waterfalls in Georgia, so I paged through it on the drive and we settled on visiting Haven Falls (also known as His ’N Her Falls) in Habersham County. It wasn’t a long hike, but it led to a beautiful waterfall that almost gave the illusion of being two “twin” waterfalls due to the way the water splits into two distinct streams as it flows over the rocks at the top. It was really pretty!

After our hike, we headed further north to go tubing on the Toccoa River. The water was cold, but it was such a relaxing time! The weather was perfect, and it wasn’t too crowded, which made for a wonderful day on the river.

We ended our day in the mountains by grabbing dinner at a local Mexican restaurant before heading back. It was a good reminder that sometimes the best days are the unplanned ones. It was nice not having a real schedule—just being able to decide in the moment what we wanted to do. Good weather, good company, and a willingness to explore is a great recipe for a fun day! Wishing you all a week filled with a little bit of that same magic!

Learning Center Article – Why would you use shielded Ethernet Cables?

Currently, the use of high bandwidth applications has been on the rise, and network systems have started venturing into factory environments which have called for the use of shielded cables. In this new installation sector, the cable is used in areas with high electromagnetic interference (EMI). Even with improved ability to reject noise and handle gigabit Ethernet, these cables will not function properly in areas where there is high EMI if not properly shielded. A shielded cable will help in these high EMI installations ensuring safe and efficient data transfer.

  • Samsung introduced its Galaxy AI suite with the Galaxy S24 launch in early 2024, offering free access through the end of 2025. • Amazon is requiring thousands of U.S. corporate employees to relocate to Seattle, Arlington, or Washington, D.C., a move fueled by AI-related job fears and a shift toward in‑person collaboration. Employees have 30 days to decide and 60 days to confirm, with no severance if they refuse — a harsh mandate reshaping Amazon’s workforce strategy.
  • JetBlue is making it easier to locate lost luggage by integrating iOS 18’s Share Item Location feature. This feature is part of the airline’s updated app, which now offers real-time checked bag status updates.
  • A record-setting heat wave will continue to grip much of the eastern U.S. on June 24, with temperatures nearing 100°F for tens of millions.
