The CK Daily – Fall Break Fun
Good morning, everyone!
I hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend, I know I did! Thursday night kicked things off with the traditional pumpkin carving to start things off right. I went with a classic buck-tooth pumpkin but made mine a little extra by giving it a tongue sticking out. It was chilly while we were carving, but we had so much fun that it didn’t even matter. By the end, our pumpkins looked great, and we watched “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” to finish it off.
Friday was my fall break, which meant I got to spend the day catching up on a little work and rest. Then Saturday rolled around, so it was all about football. I got to head back home and watch the Georgia vs. Florida game, which is always one of the super exciting games of the season. We watched most of it at home, then headed to a local restaurant and bar to watch the second half. It was a crazy game, which made the win feel even better. Watching it back home with family was super nice, and we were also celebrating someone’s birthday which doubled the fun!
It was a quick overnight trip, but so worth it to see everyone and soak up a bit of home. I ate good over the weekend, so part of me was happy to get back to my usual grilled chicken and veggies routine. But I won’t lie, I still can’t wait for Thanksgiving break and more home-cooked meals. Here’s to the start of good fall weekends, I hope yours was amazing!
