The CK Daily – Celebrating Life & Easter
Happy Monday!
I hope you had a great Easter weekend. Last week I wrote about my Uncle and his passing. This weekend we went to his hometown in Pineville, Louisiana to attend his funeral. He wanted to be buried next to his parents. The flight out was an adventure as we flew from Atlanta to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) to a tiny airport in Alexandria, Louisiana (which is right next to Pineville). We almost missed our connecting flight in DFW as our gate was about a 20 minute walk away. While Atlanta Airport may be huge, I think DFW is quite a bit more spread out.
The flight and trip went well. And there was a tearful and heartfelt remembrance given to my Uncle Mike. You could not have asked for a better father and human being, he will be sorely missed.
I was a little apprehensive about flying out to Alexandria. If you google the city, you’ll see some alarming crime statistics that are quite above the norm for Louisiana. However, what I experienced vs what I read about couldn’t be quite more different. The people of Alexandria that we encountered were quite warm and friendly and full of southern hospitality.
I live in a southern state, and you can tell that the same type of tradition permeates central Louisiana. We flew out on Friday and came back late Saturday night, the funeral was in the morning. It was a very short, but tiring trip. Luckily we made it home in time to spend Easter with family and attended a beautiful outdoor church service at a small venue nestled in Flowery Branch called The Farmhouse. You couldn’t ask for a better Easter service and wonderful weather.
It was a very bittersweet weekend, but I know Uncle Mike is in a better place and he’ll be truly missed. I hope you have a great day and a wonderful week!

The Cisco StackWise-160 stacking cable, STACK-T2-3M, allows you to connect 3650 Series switches that have the 3650 Stack Module installed (3650-STACK-KIT). With the StackWise-160 technology, you can stack up to 9 switches with a stack bandwidth of 160 Gbps. Once stacked, the 3650 behaves as a single switch and is managed by a single “active” switch. The StackWise technology by Cisco is a premium stacking architecture and provides redundancy by allowing a standby switch to take over if the “active” switch fails to keep the stack operational.
