The CK Daily – A Cold Week, Warm Moments
Well, that was a week. This past week felt like one long, deep breath held against the cold. Ice-a-Geddon 2026 did its best to slow everything down, and honestly, it kind of succeeded. We bundled up, eased off the gas a bit, and rode it out together. What could’ve been stressful ended up feeling grounding, especially sharing that time with family and leaning into a slower pace.
Somewhere between the ice and all the uncertainty, I found a lot of joy in the small stuff. Lego sets coming together piece by piece, plenty of laughs during a few rounds of Uno, and a reminder that the simplest moments are often the ones that stick with you the most.
On the work side, I’m continuing to learn and grow in my new role here at CablesAndKits. I’m stretching myself, picking up new skills, and feeling genuinely grateful for the opportunity to do so. It’s been encouraging to keep moving forward, even during a week that felt frozen in place.
As we head into the weekend, I’m tired in the best way and thankful for safety, family, and the reminder that even in cold, chaotic weeks, there’s still a lot to be grateful for.
