Happy Thursday!
Well, like the rest of the South, we had a very icy weekend. Before the freeze fully set in though, we squeezed in one last night of fun on Friday and went to the local Rock Lobsters hockey game. The game benefited UGA Miracle, which we’re involved in on campus, so it was extra special. It was cold, but such a great start to the weekend.
Saturday was much slower and we spent it staying inside, warm, and getting some work done. Sunday was when the ice had fully arrived, and luckily we never lost power but the roads were crazy. We were walking back from our apartment gym when the second round of hail came down, which was wild. It was sticking to us, but thankfully we had plenty of layers on so it was easy to shake off once we got back inside.
School was canceled on Monday, which turned into a bonus day of working from home, keeping warm, and getting a workout in just trying to get some movement after staying inside all weekend. All in all, it was a calm, cozy weekend that forced us to slow down a bit, which honestly, I can’t be more thankful for.
