Premiumfiber
Our premium fiber optic cables are designed to run your network with the highest performance.
- Corning optical ultra-pure glass fiber: strength, quality and purity with low attenuation and signal loss
- Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket for the safest cabling environment
- Bend-insensitive fiber (BIF) keeps light moving through bends and twists beyond the normal bend radius
- Ultra Physical Contact (UPC) polish: lower optical return loss and back reflection
- Simple polarity reversal in the field without special tools (OM3)
- 2.0mm unibody cable, smaller than regular 3.0mm cable, for better airflow and cable management

Fiberbasics
What is a fiber patch cable?
A patch or interconnect cable that uses glass instead of copper to transmit the signal. The three main parts are the core, the cladding and the jacket type.
What are the differences between optical modes?
The major differences are core size and transmission. OM1 uses a 62.5/125-micron core while the rest use 50/125-micron. OM1 and OM2 use LED transmitters, while OM3, OM4 and OM5 use laser-optimized multimode transmission.
Compatible transceivers
These transceivers are compatible with fiber cables.
Hot-swappable 10 Gigabit Ethernet module with Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM), supporting links up to 300 meters on multimode fiber.
Hot-swappable gigabit uplink for many Cisco switches, routers and firewalls. Supports 50/125, 62.5/125 and laser-optimized 50/125 (OM3) fiber.
Hot-swappable single-mode SFP, 1 Gbps over distances up to 10 km.
