CK GivingMaking an impactin our community
Throughout our 20 years in business, giving back to individuals and organizations in our community has helped define who we are today.
Who are we giving to?
To celebrate 20 years, we invited each member of our team to choose an organization they are passionate about to receive a $200 donation. Here are some of their stories.
Overdose deaths in the US grew more than 30% in a year. Navigate Recovery supports not only individuals but the families affected by addiction, through strong community support.
Having a family member with special needs, Rebecca values ESP for advocating for individuals and families and creating belonging and opportunities that would not otherwise exist.
Graduating debt free was a dream made real through scholarships and family. This organization provides college scholarships to minority students in Gwinnett County.
Christine supports this foundation because it matters to her sister-in-law, who lives in the US, far from family.
An amazing hospital, consistently ranked among the top children's hospitals, that Cris believes saved his daughter's life.
A donation to the family of Deputy Nicole Marshall, who lost her life serving her community after being shot responding to a domestic dispute call.
Thomas loves youth and is working hard to grow the FCA presence in the county, getting and keeping young people involved.
Tristan goes to church with the founders and calls them some of the most selfless people he knows.
Sports shaped Sterling, and Right To Play helps children around the world facing hardship learn positive values through play.
A senior dog sanctuary that rescues abandoned senior dogs and gives them a forever home. Sue volunteers there weekly.
During the pandemic many families need support, and kids should always come first.
Just People helps those with disabilities live independently and grow. Chad lives with a learning disability and values seeing others help people do the same.
A religious organization working to ease poverty through education for deserving youth and through disaster recovery in the Philippines.
Siargao, the "Surfing Capital of the Philippines", lost nearly 95% of its homes and structures to the typhoon just before Christmas. This gift supports fellow Filipinos affected.
A top pug rescue that saves pugs from meat markets, neglect and abuse and finds them forever homes.
Aaron has sponsored a child through Compassion for about 10 years and loves what they do.
Our giving goal
We have a goal to give $20,000 to celebrate our 20 years of business. It would not be possible without our customers: your purchases are instrumental in allowing us to give back to the community.
CablesAndKits would not be what it is without our former HR Manager, Susan, who helped shape our culture and hiring. We encouraged her passion for addiction recovery ministry, and she and her husband Farley founded Navigate Recovery and later Lightway Recovery for Women. CK has given to Navigate Recovery and adopted rooms at Lightway in the past, and both are part of our $20k for 20 years campaign.
Path United works with community leaders, churches and local schools to transform mobile home communities by building relationships with children and empowering them socially and emotionally. It is close to home: Craig was raised by a single mom in a mobile home park, quit school at 15 to work full time, and is now our CEO. We look forward to seeing a local program in action in January.
Why we give
The call we feel to give comes from our faith and our mission as an organization. We believe in ministry through business, and we are driven to further the missions we are passionate about with the resources entrusted to us.
Your purchases help us give back.
