This Cisco transceiver module is bi-directional and made to work with quad small form factor pluggable (QSFP) equipment. It is built for 40G networking, making it as fast and advanced as anything on the market, and it supports multiple fiber connection modes.
The transceiver words with two 20G channels that function via OM3 and OM4. These channels can transmit and receive on the same strand and at the same time (using multimode fiber).
They are ideal for migrating to 40G from 10G. The modules allow you to upgrade the signal across your existing cabling infrastructure, one component at a time if needed.
