These Cisco original 40GBase-CSR4 modules are very similar to the 40GBase-SR modules but could be considered an upgrade as these transceivers actually extend your reach. With these 40GBase-CSR4 modules, you can achieve lengths of up to 300m over OM3 fiber and 400m over OM4 fiber. Just like 40GBase-SR4 modules, these use MPO/MTP connectors, operate over multimode fiber (MMF), and use an 850nm wavelength.
