The WS-C3850-24XS-S is a stackable enterprise level switch which is integrated with 24 × 10/100/1000 10G SFP+ Optical ports with Flexible NetFlow entries of 48,000 flows. The model supports up to 1000 VLAN IDs and delivers layer 3 switching. It has a switching capacity of 320Gbps with a forwarding performance 454.55Mpps.
The WS-C3850-24XS-S supports the IP Base feature set and can only stack with other Catalyst 3850 Series IP Base switches. A maximum stacking of 9 switches is supported with a stacking bandwidth of 480 Gbps. The model however does not provide any support for the Power Over Ethernet.
The switch is compatible with the C3850-NM-4-1G, C3850-NM-2-10G Cisco Network Modules. It has 64 WLANs per switch with up to 20 Gbps of wireless bandwidth per switch and has 1 network module slot and 1 power redundant slot.
The switch module is compliant with the IEEE 802.11and IEEE 802.1D spanning tree protocol thereby preventing any loops in the network topology. It is also compliant with the IEEE 802.1ab (LLDP) standard.
The switch supports advanced security features such as Router and VLAN ACLs, Port based ACLs, DHCP snooping, Dynamic ARP inspection, Bidirectional data Support on a SPAN.
