WS-C2960X-48FPD-L is a Cisco Catalyst switch that belongs to the Cisco 2960-X series of switches. It is 48 ports LAN Base stackable switch, comprising of 48 x Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports with POE+ and 2 x 10G SFP+ uplink interfaces. It delivers Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) that supports up to 740W of PoE budget for 24 ports with 30W per port or 48 ports with 15.4W per port.

The switch is supported by the Cisco's FlexStack-Plus technology that supports up to 8 switches stacking with same 2960-X LAN base series, at a total bandwidth of 80GBps. It also can stack up to 4 switches stacking when mixed with 2960-S LAN base series switches.

The switch supports 1023 active VLANs. It ensures DSCP transparency thereby ensuring that QoS policies are preserved. It also provides support for other features like Jumbo Frames and Priority Queueing.

The model also supports multiple advanced security features such as SSH, SSL and SCP, RADIUS and TACACS+ IGMP Snooping is a network protocol used by switches to efficiently manage and multicast traffic on a network.

Additionally, it supports IPv6 routing, multicast routing, and Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) for reducing power consumption during periods of low network traffic.
