The RRA1U, Recessed Rack Adapters were developed and designed by CablesAndKits to solve the problem of protruding equipment in racks. The Recessed Rack Adapters are used to mount computer, A/V, and networking equipment slightly deeper in an equipment rack (3 inches from the face of the rack), allowing the ability to close rack doors when protruding wiring or equipment would have otherwise prevented doing so. These are perfect for mounting in patch panels, shelves, and other standard 19" equipment.
On certain switches where there is enough space on the sides, the RRA1U can be mounted in reverse and used as an extender to provide extra clearance for the back of the switch.
