The Cisco Catalyst 3850-NM-4-1G is a network module for the Cisco Catalyst 3850 series switches. It provides four Gigabit Ethernet ports and supports advanced switching capabilities such as Quality of Service (QoS), StackWise-480 technology, and Energy Wise technology.

The switches provide capabilities that supports the merging of wired and wireless access. It is powered by Cisco UADP and Cisco ASIC and enables application visibility, flexibility, and optimization. This merging of wired and wireless policy is due to the Cisco Stack Wise 480 technology.

The 3850-NM-4-1G Series Switches are compatible with IEEE 802.3 at Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+), Cisco Universal Power Over Ethernet Plus (Cisco UPOE), RJ – 45 and fiber-based downlink interface modules and redundant fans and power supplies.

This module has four 1 G SFP module slots. Any combination of standard SFP modules is supported. SFP+ modules are not supported. If you insert an SFP+ module in the 1 G network module, the SFP+ module does not operate, and the switch logs an error message.
