The AIR-AP3802I-B-K9 is a model of Cisco wireless access point that is designed for high-density environments, such as airports, stadiums, and large offices. It is a part of the Cisco Aironet 3800 series and is equipped with two radios that operate in the 5-GHz frequency band, allowing for faster data transfer speeds and increased client capacity. With a maximum over-the-air speed of 5.2 Gbps (2 x 2.6 Gbps), this access point is capable of handling large amounts of data traffic, making it ideal for environments where many devices are connected to the network at the same time.
Being a part of the Cisco Aironet Series, the AIR-AP3802I-B-K9 features a modular architecture which allows the system to be upgraded or expanded with additional components, such as additional radios or antennas, to meet the needs of a specific environment. This allows for flexibility and scalability in the deployment and management of wireless networks.
The AIR-AP3802I-B-K9 supports the Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) technology that allows the access point to receive power over the Ethernet cable in addition to data. This eliminates the need for a separate power source, such as an electrical outlet, which makes deployment of the access point much easier. This access point can be deployed in different ways, such as in standalone mode, as part of a wireless LAN controller or in a Cisco Meraki cloud-managed network.
