The Cisco Nexus 7000 Series switches provide the base for the Cisco Unified Fabric. These switches are modular and belong to the class of data- center line of highly scalable networks with fabric architecture. The Cisco Nexus 7000 series offers a rack mount kit that allows you to securely mount the Nexus 7000 switches in a standard rack. The rack mount kit provides the necessary hardware and brackets to ensure proper installation and stability.
The Accessory kit includes 2 Rack mount brackets that are used to mount the switch onto the rails in and out of the rack for easy access and maintenance. They are made from high quality steel which makes them durable and strong to hold the switch in place. The rack kit also includes all the required screws that are needed for attaching the bracket to the chassis.
To install the Cisco Nexus 7000 in a rack, always position the rack mount brackets on the sides of the Nexus 7000 switch. The brackets should align with the mounting holes on the switch.
