The Cisco Catalyst 4948E are a fixed configuration, Layer 2 – 4 switches designed to provide line-speed and real time processing for rack-optimized server switching. It is based on the Cisco Catalyst 4948 architecture and carries the ability to double the uplink capacity to four 10Gb Ethernet uplinks and supports IPv6 in hardware.

The kit includes 2 Rack mount brackets that are used to secure the switch to the vertical rails of a rack or cabinet. The rack mount brackets are made up of high-quality steel with chrome finish making the rack a reliable and a sturdy choice for rack mount bracket.
The 4948E Rack Mount Kit also includes all the necessary mounting screws which is necessary components are used to attach the brackets to the switch and secure it firmly in the rack.
