The Cisco Unified IP phone CP-7962G is designed to support Wide-Band voice performance to help businesses and organizations to meet their needs for collaboration and communication capabilities. CP-7962 is the part of a new series of progressive CISCO Unified IP phone 7900 Series. It incorporates full feature IP phone system with speaker phone and headset.
The CP-7962G Cisco phone supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, allowing it to be powered through the Ethernet cable. It is compliant with the IEEE 802.3af PoE standard (Class 2) and also supports Cisco Prestandard PoE. This means that it can be powered by any of the Cisco inline power-capable blades and boxes, as well as Cisco midspans.
The IP Phone guides the user through the call features and functions through the 6 programmable and 4 interactive soft keys. The 5-inch-high resolution LCD displays the information about date, time, caller ids and device status.
Network Configurations preferences also can be set up by the system administrator. Configurations can be set up automatically or manually for Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) and Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP).
The IP Phone receives and transmits encrypted audio within the CISCO IP Network, offering robust security and flexible features that ensures that the information remains protected at all times. An optional add on module the Cisco IP Phone Expansion Module, is provided with additional 14 buttons for directory programming and speed dials
