In recent times we\u2019ve seen our lives shift in ways we never expected. Countrywide shutdowns and fear-mongering headlines have led to unnecessary alarm and panic. All these worst-case-scenario predictions are leading people to question whether our situation may be more ominous than we initially thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the interesting spikes in searches<\/u><\/a> we\u2019ve seen is related to the zombie apocalypse. In the last 3 months, people have shown increased searches for survival guides, stockpiling food, and have even wondered whether the coronavirus is the beginning of a zombie apocalypse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s look at which states showed the highest upticks in searching for zombie apocalypse over the last 3 months as we received more updates on COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Now let\u2019s look at the states who have recently (in the past week) been searching for zombie apocalypse related search terms. It\u2019s month 4 of COVID-19 in the U.S. and there are probably a fair few people preparing (or already prepared) to escape the hoards of zombies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Although I\u2019m not sure what South Dakotans are worried about, nobody wants to go to South Dakota, not even zombies. Same with you Oklahoma. And come on Alaska, even zombies would freeze before they made it up there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      We figured if people were actually concerned about zombies, we should help them prepare! Here are some ways you can use cat8<\/u><\/a>, power cords<\/u><\/a>, or any other strong IT cables to help your chances of survival once the zombies make an appearance. If you\u2019re already prepared, consider adding some adapters and connectors to get the widest range of use from the cables you acquire.       Travel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Let\u2019s face it, eventually, you may need to leave your house. There\u2019s strength in numbers and it will be beneficial to group together with other people. Or maybe the zombies will show up and you\u2019ll have to make a run for it. Don\u2019t be caught unprepared. Grab those sturdy cables so they can be used to bundle together your items if your backpack breaks. You\u2019re not going to outrun a zombie with a suitcase, so you\u2019ll have to pack light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Communication & Technology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Without a doubt, we will defeat the zombies at some point, and technology will probably play a big role in keeping us all connected. Depending on what cables you grab, you may be able to get ethernet access, create a spark to start a fire or send a distress signal, and maybe even rewire energy sources. Let\u2019s say you even manage to stumble upon a bunker in the wilderness, and all you need is a power cord to get a computer started for communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      When you\u2019re dealing with zombies and traveling in numbers, you never know when someone will get infected. You may even have some unpredictable humans that don\u2019t have everyone\u2019s best interest at heart, so it would be ideal to be able to restrain them. Luckily, our cables are strong, and they\u2019d be pretty difficult to escape if tied up properly.
