The CK Daily – Holidays and Hallmark<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Good morning, everyone!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Mine was packed with two Thanksgivings, cutting down the Christmas tree, decorating gingerbread houses (my boyfriend and I\u2019s won), taking family pictures, putting out Christmas decorations, and doing my best to stay warm through it all. It was a whirlwind, but a great one!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming back to Athens on Sunday was tough, especially since I\u2019m only here for a week and a half before heading back home again. Even though it\u2019s quick, I have three finals to fit in before the semester wraps up. It\u2019s been nonstop work and studying the past few days, but I\u2019m hoping everything finishes up smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not much else to report from here, but I did manage to get all my Christmas shopping done over the break, which is both relieving and exciting because wrapping gifts is my absolute favorite part. I\u2019ve already been watching plenty of Hallmark movies, but wrapping presents with a Hallmark movie playing in the background brings me so much joy. I can\u2019t wait for everything to start arriving so I can fully embrace that tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we\u2019ve shared in past years, giving is a big part of life here at CK. There is so much joy in helping meet the needs of others in meaningful ways. This year, we are partnering with a local Georgia organization that we have the privilege to support through board membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iServe Ministries<\/a> serves our local community by providing free food and resources to neighbors in need. During the Christmas season, they host a toy giveaway in partnership with several local organizations. A few days before Christmas, families in need can come with their children to enjoy a free breakfast and pick out gifts for the holidays. The need this year is bigger than ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
