Our team of experts has found some creative ways for us to “go green” around the office and with our business. By taking just a few extra steps with our Cisco products and other networking equipment, we can help minimize our carbon footprint and sleep a little better at night.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t take long for some\u00a0networking\u00a0equipment to become obsolete. You know how it is in the IT world\u2026one day you\u2019re in and the next you\u2019re out.<\/p>\n
So, we make a point to always recycle all of our unusable equipment, accessories, and power supplies through a recycling process that is certified by E-waste and R-2 recycling certification organizations only. This allows us to make room for new inventory, while also making sure these unusable Cisco products and accessories are properly disposed of.<\/p>\n
On the office side of things, we recycle our cardboard boxes, pallets, papers, cans, and just about anything else that we can find around here when possible.<\/p>\n
Maybe one of the most overlooked ways of \u201cbeing green\u201d is by purchasing and using used and refurbished equipment. When you purchase refurbished equipment you are reducing the amount of resources and materials that need to be consumed to make new parts and components for new equipment. Bet you didn\u2019t know you were already being green by supporting the prolonged life of equipment that has already been manufactured, huh? You get to help the environment and save a little money at the same time!<\/p>\n
This is\u00a0something\u00a0we take very seriously at the CK office. \u00a0Not only do we sell refurbished equipment, whenever possible, we purchase and use pre-owned equipment\u00a0ourselves\u00a0– from computers to monitors to phones to switches. That is\u00a0another\u00a0reason we can proudly stand behind our pre-owned networking products, we know how well they work from firsthand experience.<\/p>\n
