\"Monkey<\/a><\/p>\n

Well, we started this week off with a bang! It was a very busy week. We had part 2 of our quarterly meeting to go over the financials for the previous quarter, but we had\u00a0something\u00a0else fun\u00a0in store\u00a0as well! \u00a0You have probably seen our little robot monkey hanging around in our emails, website, and print materials. The little fella has become a true part of the CK family and has fit right in quickly, but there has been one thing missing… a name! This week, the staff got to find out the name of the CK monkey (which they all voted on) \u00a0and hear his background story. \u00a0The guy is definitely\u00a0a man…errr…monkey of mystery! \u00a0In celebration of the monkey finally\u00a0getting\u00a0his name our President, Dave, led us in a toast of bananas and showed us how monkeys actually open and eat\u00a0bananas\u00a0– its not like you would think it would be! \u00a0We are very excited about his new name and we will be\u00a0sharing\u00a0it with the public very soon! Stay tuned!<\/p>\n

\"New<\/a><\/p>\n

Something else we were very excited\u00a0about\u00a0releasing this week was our new navigation for\u00a0the\u00a0website. Our goal was to make it easier for you, the customer, to get to what you needed quicker. \u00a0We went through and re-categorized\u00a0some of our product lines – like\u00a0Fiber\u00a0Cables<\/a>, Ethernet<\/a>, and \u00a0Cisco Equipment<\/a> – to make a little more sense and then we moved those product lines to\u00a0prime property out front on the website. We also wanted to draw a little more attention to our “CK Outlet” where we have some amazing deals week in and week out.\u00a0Our hope is that we are able to continue to make smart, useful changes to our site to make your experience an awesome one every time you visit us.<\/p>\n

\"Jason<\/a><\/p>\n

Let me start off by stating that having\u00a0to talk\u00a0about\u00a0yourself in a blog is a little weird, at least for me. \u00a0So, let me keep this short and sweet.\u00a0This week, CK\u00a0publicly\u00a0announced my promotion to\u00a0Marketing\u00a0Team Leader. \u00a0I am very blessed and humbled to take on this role in\u00a0the\u00a0company. (I feel like I am doing an acceptance speech…I\u00a0would\u00a0like to thank\u00a0the\u00a0Academy, director Steven Spielberg, etc…) In this new role, I will be overseeing the\u00a0Marketing\u00a0& Branding\u00a0department, along with the internal & external communications. I have an amazing team to do all\u00a0the\u00a0work, umm…I mean to help me out with everything.\u00a0Some\u00a0very talented guys in\u00a0photography\u00a0and creative design. \u00a0Our goal is to continue to raise\u00a0the\u00a0bar when it comes to not only what we are\u00a0communicating, but how we are communicating it. \u00a0It is gonna be a blast!<\/p>\n

\"Scooter<\/a><\/p>\n

No week would be complete around\u00a0the\u00a0CablesAndKits’ office without some kind of competition. \u00a0This week it was a scooter race. \u00a0You may remember a while back how I mentioned<\/a> that scooters had become a normality around here. \u00a0It was only a matter of time before a contest would come about, and I\u00a0imagine\u00a0this will not be the last one. \u00a0We have some VERY competitive people around here (especially Kyle!) As you\u00a0can\u00a0imagine Kyle won and took his\u00a0victory\u00a0lap but it was not without\u00a0controversy – pushing, smack talk, and even the “Loose Wheel\u00a0Scandal\u00a0of 2013”. But, we will let this one stay in\u00a0the\u00a0record books…for now.<\/p>\n

\"Sales<\/a><\/p>\n

When we told the ladies in the Sales\u00a0department\u00a0to eat, sleep, and breath dollars, we didn’t think they would take it this far. \u00a0But, we sure do like their focus! Maybe sales by\u00a0osmosis?<\/p>\n
