Telecom Splicer/Crimper | Built in Cutter and Stop | UR, UY and UG Compatible Telecom splicers are primarily used to attach butt splice IDC, or Insulation Displacement Connectors, to telecom wiring. The splicer/crimper presses the two sides of the butt splice together engaging the IDC with the wire leads. The IDC cuts through the insulation making contact with the copper cores of the wire forming a connection.UR connectors fit three wire 19-26AWG leads, UY fits two wire 22-26AWG leads and UG fits two wire 19-26AWG leads. These crimpers have a customized head allowing full, flat contact with the butt splice connectors. This heads also contains a built in stop to prevent over-compression of the connector. A handy cutting blade is included allowing users to cut cable without changing tools. Quick Specs:
