Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series 48 Port IP Phone PoE Switching Module, WS-X6148-RJ21V
The Inline Power 10/100BaseT switching module provides 48 Switched, 10/100- Mbps autosensing, full or half-duplex ports. This is an inline-power daughter card wth 12 ports per connector. The WS-X6148-RJ21V can be used with Category 3, 5e, or 6 UTP cable up to 328 feet from the switch to the IP phone. The module uses phantom power by pairing pins 1, 2, 3 and 6 are used to transmit the power. The power signals on this unit are completly independent signals and do not interfere with the operation. The module will also automatically detect an IP phone and will provide inline power. This unit is only compatiable with Cisco pre-standard PoE and will not work with 802.3af devices.
