The Avaya IP500 V2 Control Unit is a new generation of the existing IP500 and is backward compatible with the previous version. IP500 V2 holds the main configuration of the telephone system and performs routing and switching for phone calls and data traffic. The control unit has four card slots for all existing IP500 cards, as well as new generation cards, which support trunk and phone extension Trunks. Rack mounting and wall mounting are both options for the control unit and its expansion modules.

- Conference Parties- 128 as standard but maximum 64 in any individual conference. Silence suppression is applied to conferences with more than 10 parties.
